Situated on the Texas Gulf Coast the Corpus Christi Camera Club is a group of photographers from Corpus Christi and the surrounding area.
One thing we all have in common is our love of photography. Be it monochrome or color prints, nature or pictorial slides, hand colored prints or digital images, we welcome all that would like to learn and share their photography .
With the start of a new year we are looking forward to some interesting things to do.
We meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month, except December. Our meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and usually end at 8:45 p.m. because we have to be out of the building by 9:00 p.m.
We meet at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, located at 1900 N. Chaparral, from January to May. Then again from September to November. We do not meet in December. So get there early in order to get a good parking spot.
This summer we will be meeting at a different location that has yet to be named. As soon as we make arrangements it will be published here and in our newsletter "The Image".
We are members of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), the Gulf States Camera Club Council (GSCCC) and the Art Center of Corpus Christi.
We have two exhibits throughout the year. The first one is our Exhibit of Fine Art Photography. It is a month long exhibit held in February at the Art Center of Corpus Christi.
Our second exhibit of Nature Photography and it is held at the Corpus Christi Botanical Gardens located at located at 8446 S. Staples. This exhibit usually goes up in the summer. But due to changing exhibits our exhibit may go up in early Fall.
