New members shall receive a pro-rated discount af $2.00 per month on the payment of dues during the first full year. Dues are as follows: Adult: $ 25.00 Co-Club: $ 10.00 Student: $ 10.00
Club Year The club year mirrors the calendar year running from January through December. All fiscal activities are based upon the club year. Annual club competitions accumulate points during each single club year. Year-end awards are compiled in January and awarded during the annual Awards Dinner in April.
Meetings There are two monthly meetings that consist of an informational or educational presentation. Image competitions, critique and other activities relating to the art & technique of photography are also included in the meetings.
Field Trips Throughout the year the club sponsors field trips as an opportunity for the membership to share their photographic knowledge. This allows newer members to work side by side with more experienced members to share techniques.
Workshops Periodical workshops will be scheduled throughout the year. A club workshop is a "hands-on" teaching opportunity that is frequently held outside the meeting setting. This allows intensive one on one instruction that maximizes the learning potential through personal attention.
Club Competitions PEEP conducts monthly photographic competitions among its members. These competitions are designed as an educational opportunity for members. The club competitions are organized along the guidelines of Regional and International organizations to be compatible with future entries of contests sponsored by those organizations.
Affiliated Memberships Photography Enthusiasts of El Paso may, as its membership elects, be an active member of other regional, national or international photographic organizations. Currently, PEEP is a member of Gulf States Camera Club Council (GSCCC). GSCCC is an affiliation of 30 camera clubs from Texas and surrounding states including, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Oklahoma. The GSCCC provides member clubs a clearinghouse of member club activities, guidance in club operation, monthly competition among member clubs and an annual convention in April.
