Club
Prints
1.
Pictorial,
Nature, and Photojournalism prints must be no larger than
16”x 20”, either mounted or un-mounted. For a mounted print, the
mounting board should be no larger than 20”x 24”. There is no
minimum size. Prints may be printed commercially or self printed.
2.
Each print must be identified with a title, a number (1, 2,
3, or 4), the maker’s name, and the name of the club.
3.
The number on the image must correspond with the number
listed on the Entry Form, which must accompany
each club’s entry.
Digital
1.
Each digital entry must be a jpeg file with an image size of
1024 x768 or smaller. There is no size limit.
2.
Each digital file should have a title that starts with a

- The number
in the image file must correspond with the number listed on the
Entry Form, which must accompany each club’s

Number of
Entries
1.
In the Photojournalism and Nature competitions, each club may
enter four projected digital and four prints. Prints may be either
color, B&W, or a mixture of both.
2.
For the Pictorial Prints competitions, a club may enter 4
color prints and 4 B&W prints.
3.
A club’s four entries must be the work of four different
makers. It is recognized that it is possible that one person may
have more than one picture submitted in the same contest by reason
of membership in more than one club.
Eligibility
1.
Any photograph that wins a place (1st, 2nd,
3rd, 1HM, and 2HM) in any GSCCC monthly competition is ineligible
for entry again in any category. A winning image may not be
reversed and entered again. Photographs that do not place
in a GSCCC monthly competition may be re-entered in any future GSCCC
competition.
2.
The same image cannot be entered in more than
one category in the same competition.
3.
Winners of 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
1HM, and 2HM of each category in GSCCC monthly competitions are
eligible to be entered in the same category in the annual
End-of-Year competition. No images receiving awards from previous
years are eligible to enter.
Mailing the
Entries
1.
Prints should be mailed no
later than the 1st of the judging month, either by parcel post or by
UPS, to ensure that the prints reach the judging club by the 15th
of the judging month. A return label and postage must be included.
2.
It is preferred that the
entering club email their digital images, along with the entry form,
to the judging club. However, if necessary, CD’s may be sent.
3.
CDs should be mailed no later than the 1st of the judging
month by first class mail to ensure they reach the judging club by
the 15th of the judging month.
4.
Clubs have the option of CDs being destroyed, or returned if
a label and postage are included in the package.
5.
When prints or a CD entry is mailed, an email
should be sent to the judging club to let them know
that the entry is on the way.
6.
When entries are emailed, the email software should be set to
request a return receipt to ensure the judging club receives the
entries.
Record
Keeping
Each club’s
GSCCC Representative should keep a record of all his/her club’s
entries, including points received and ribbons earned.
